Thousands gathered in Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms on November 9th, 2024, for the Girls on the Run 5K, celebrating empowerment and achievement.

The newly redeveloped Liberty Courtyard under I-670 has been the host to several recent events in the West Bottoms and continues to generate attention in the community.

This year, the Historic West Bottoms Association celebrated its 100th year as a chartered organization with the 10th year of our Heritage Days events!

43 Regional Outdoor Painters were pre-registered for the 2nd Annual Wilbur Niewald Plein Air Weekend, held on May 17th-18th in the Historic West Bottoms.

HWBA held our annual Stockyards Legends Dinner on May 6, 2024 in The Oliver Building.
